Selene
Privacy Policy
Effective September 4, 2026 · Last updated September 23, 2026
Selene is operated by Thalos AI LLC ("Thalos AI," "we," "us"). Selene is a booking service: AI assistants and other software you authorize call it to search for merchants and to book appointments and reservations on your behalf. Thalos AI also operates a text-message assistant built on Selene; if you use it and connect your Google account, the Google user data section below applies to you as well. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email privacy@thalosai.com.
Information we collect
- Your phone number and the messages you send and receive through Selene.
- Details you choose to share during use, for example your name, preferences, background, and interests, so Selene can help you better.
- Google account data, only if you choose to connect your Google account (see below). Connecting is optional; Selene works without it.
- Contact details you give us — name, email, phone — used to identify you to the merchant when a booking is placed.
- Booking information: the merchants you book, the date, time, party size or service, and the status of each booking.
- Payment information, only when a merchant requires a card on file. Card details are tokenized directly by the payment processor's secure PCI-compliant vault. We never receive or store your full card number; we retain only non-sensitive metadata such as the card brand and last four digits.
- Account and connection data: which assistant or application you have connected, and the permissions you have granted it.
- Basic operational logs (timestamps, delivery status, errors) needed to run and secure the service.
Google user data
This section applies to the Thalos AI text-message assistant, which is the only part of Selene that can connect a Google account. It does not apply to the Selene booking API, which never requests Google account access.
Only if you connect your Google account, you grant Selene access to the following, which you can revoke at any time:
- Gmail (
gmail.modify): to read and organize your email, and to draft, label, and send messages when you ask Selene to. Selene does not permanently delete your email.
- Google Calendar (
calendar): to view your events and to create, update, or cancel events at your request.
How we use it
We use Google user data solely to provide the assistant features you request, for example telling you what is on your calendar, triaging your inbox, drafting a reply, or booking around your schedule. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
Limited Use disclosure. Selene's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the
Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How it's processed
To understand your requests and generate helpful responses, the content of your messages, which may include information from your connected Google account when you ask Selene to act on it, is processed by third-party AI model providers acting as our service providers, strictly to produce a response for you. We also use a messaging provider to deliver texts to and from your phone. These providers process the content only to perform their service for us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes or to build unrelated products.
How your data is stored and protected
- Data is kept per-user and isolated between users.
- Google access and refresh tokens are stored on our servers in access-restricted files readable only by the Selene service, and are used only to access your data on your behalf.
- All traffic to and from Selene's servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- The account-connection flow is protected by a signed, tamper-evident token so a connection can only ever write to your own account.
Your choices and controls
- Connecting is optional. You can use Selene without linking Google, and you decide if and when to connect.
- Disconnect anytime. You can revoke Selene's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete your data. Ask Selene to delete your information (a "forget me" request) and we will remove your stored data, including any connection tokens.
- Stop messages. Reply
STOP at any time to unsubscribe from Selene.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as you use Selene, and delete it when you ask us to or when it is no longer needed to provide the service. Operational logs are retained only as long as needed to run and secure the service.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with:
- The merchant you are booking with. To place a booking we must pass the merchant your name and contact details, along with the requested time and service. The merchant handles that information under its own privacy policy.
- Booking, scheduling and discovery providers we use to find merchants and to submit your request to the merchant. A current list of these sub-processors is available on request from privacy@thalosai.com.
- Infrastructure and service providers — hosting, transactional email, and the AI model providers and messaging provider described above — acting on our instructions and not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
We also disclose information where necessary to comply with the law or to protect our rights and users' safety.
Children
Selene is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Selene evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
